How far in advance should I book a gorilla trekking permit?
+
We strongly recommend booking gorilla trekking permits at least 3β6 months in advance, especially for peak season (JuneβSeptember and DecemberβJanuary). Permits are limited to 96 per day across all gorilla families and sell out quickly. Contact us as early as possible and we will handle the booking process for you.
Do I need a visa to visit Rwanda?
+
Most nationalities can obtain a visa on arrival at Kigali International Airport, or apply online through the Rwanda Directorate General of Immigration (irembo.gov.rw). East African citizens from Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Burundi and DRC enter visa-free. We recommend checking your specific country's requirements and we're happy to assist with the process.
What is the best time of year to visit Rwanda?
+
Rwanda is a year-round destination. The best time for gorilla trekking and wildlife safaris is during the dry seasons: June to September (long dry) and December to January (short dry). The rainy seasons (MarchβMay and OctoberβNovember) offer lush green landscapes, fewer tourists, and lower prices. There is genuinely no bad time to come.
